Home Savings Wins Regulators' OK for New Office in McDonald
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Home Savings and Loan Co. has received approval from the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Financial Institutions and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to open a new, full-service office in McDonald. The office, scheduled to open in July, will be Home Savings' first, full-service retail branch in the McDonald area and its fourth in Trumbull County. Home Savings has 35 banking offices and six loan production offices throughout Ohio and western Pennsylvania. It employs nearly 700 people."To remain competitive in the community banking industry, we realize the importance of continued expansion into previously untapped or under-served market areas," said David Lodge, Home Savings president and chief operating officer. "The addition of this branch will help us to grow our presence in and around Trumbull County and allow us to gain customer loyalty through our diverse financial products and personalized service." The McDonald branch, 427 Ohio Avenue (formerly the Bank One building), will offer lobby and drive-through service as well as a drive-through automated teller machine and night depository. Home Savings will staff the office with management and personnel with banking experience; it did not identify them.
