SALEM, Ohio -- Kent State University at Salem is holding its fall undergraduate research conference at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to recognize students for their research and have them share what they learned.
David Dees will deliver the keynote address, “The ‘Aha!’ Moment: Why Your Brain Likes Doing Research” in the student lounge.
Oral presentations are scheduled for 12:30, 2 and 3:30 p.m. in the library. Research posters will be displayed and judged in the student lounge at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The conference is open to all undergraduates in all disciplines and in any for-credit course at the Salem campus.
Judges from the faculty evaluate the presentations based on originality, significance, evidence of learning about the research process and overall quality.
