Gasser Seats Slot Players in Cleveland
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Gasser Chair Co. Inc. has completed production of more than 2,800 slot and table game seats for the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino. It will be Ohio’s first and Cleveland’s only casino once it opens this spring.
Gasser has long produced furniture for the gaming history and seized the opportunity to partner with Cleveland’s Horseshoe Casino because of its relationship with Harrah’s, which gave Gasser its start in the gaming industry, reports the company's president, Mark Gasser. “It was the perfect opportunity to work with the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino. I believe our partnership over the past five decades testifies to our quality of work and customer service," he says.
Gasser Chair’s gaming history stems from a 1960s meeting between Mark Gasser’s father, George Gasser, and Bill Harrah, founder of Harrah’s Casino, at which time Gasser loaned Harrah’s 10 chairs to place at slot machines. Harrah noticed positive gaming behavior when gamers favored the slot games with chairs in front of them and would even move them to other slot machines around the casino.
Eventually, Gasser changed the gaming industry when casinos began placing stools in front of every slot machine in every casino. Standing gamers soon evolved into longer lasting players who were seated comfortably on a stool that positioned them at eye level to their favorite game. Today, Gasser chairs can be found in some of the nation’s top casinos as well as hotels, private clubs and restaurants.
Gasser Chair Co. Inc., founded in 1946, designs and manufactures seating products for hospitality and entertainment venues and provides seating products for slot, race/sportsbook, table, poker, and bingo gaming applications.
