McNally Minimizes Charges; 'I've Been Proven Correct'
Thursday, May 15, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mayor John A. McNally IV today dismissed the 34 felony and misdemeanor charges in an indictment handed down by a Cuyahoga County grand jury Wednesday afternoon.
As a crew from John’s Tree and Stump Removal Ltd., New Springfield, worked on clearing away a 50-year-old tree that had fallen on his Burma Drive house during last night’s storms, McNally characterized the indictment of him, Mahoning County Auditor Mike Sciortino and attorney Marty Yavorcik as “a rehashing” of the saga involving the county’s purchase of Oakhill Renaissance Place.
Oakhill Indictments List 'Pattern of Corrupt Activity'

Kasich Re-election at 50% Mark in Quinnipiac Poll
Wednesday, May 14, 2014HAMDEN, Conn. -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich is at or over the critical 50 percentage point mark on a number of measures, including his 50% to 35% lead over Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, his Democratic challenger, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
This compares to a 43% to 38% Kasich lead in a Feb. 19 survey by the independent Quinnipiac University.
