Downtown Wellness Community Introduces Itself
Tuesday, September 09, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Downtown Wellness Community wants to provide a nudge to those inclined to eat a more healthful diet or exercise more but don’t.
“We’re not about having you cut out everything that’s bad in life, Pam Lilak said Monday, “but introducing what you can do to lead a healthier life.”
Lilak, executive director of Downtown Wellness, led a press event in the Youngstown Business Incubator to introduce the nonprofit organization to the residents of the downtown and those who work here.

Midlothian Clinic Volunteers Save, Improve Lives
Tuesday, September 02, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Maureen Cronin had served on the board of Midlothian Free Health Clinic Inc. for months when she was asked to take the newly created position of executive director.
“The clinic started to grow and we started to get some federal grants,” Cronin says. “The clinic decided they needed a paid executive director and they offered me the position.”
BWC to Rebate $126M to Public Employers
Wednesday, August 27, 2014COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation would return a projected $126.1 million to 3,800 local public employers under its “Another Billion Back” program -- including more than $6 million to countiesin northeastern Ohio. The program also calls for increased funding for workplace safety grants and the creation of initiatives to enhance the safety, health and wellness of the state workforce.
