YSU Business College Info Session at Lorain
Wednesday, October 15, 2014ELYRIA, Ohio -- The director and the coordinator of the graduate program in business administration at Youngstown State University will hold an information session at Lorain County Community College at 6 p.m. Oct. 22 as YSU prepares to hold classes there next January that lead to an MBA.
The information session will be held in the Loft Room 119 of University Center, 1005 Abbe Road North.

STEM Students Draw Business to Internship Fair
Friday, October 10, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- While job and internship fairs are one of the best ways to meet student prospects, there are other benefits, as Rick Yohman, an electric design engineer at Altronic, discovered Thursday at his first internship fair at Youngstown State University.
“I've enjoyed talking to the other vendors here. It's almost like a local networking [opportunity]. You get to talk to people that you don't normally get to see,” he said. “We want to take part in the community. That's really what brings us here.”
Kent State Launches Center for Visual Arts
Thursday, October 09, 2014KENT, Ohio -- Kent State University will celebrate the launch of the new Center for Visual Arts at 4 p.m. today in Cartwright Hall, which overlooks the construction site of the center.
The new center will bring all visual arts programs and disciplines under one roof for the first time since 1960.
Upon completion in the spring of 2016, the $33.5 million complex will have more than 115,000 square feet of space, which include 77,000 square feet of renovation and nearly 38,000 square feet of new construction.
Eastern Gateway Warren Center to Open in January
Wednesday, October 08, 2014WARREN, Ohio -- Work will begin immediately on renovating the former Mickey’s Army-Navy Store downtown for Eastern Gateway Community College’s expanded Warren Center, EGCC officials report.
Higher Education Partner-EGCC Ohio LLC recently finalized its purchase of the Main Street building with owner Marty Cohen. HEP is the college’s partner in the operation of the Valley Center in Youngstown and now will partner with the college for the build-out and operation of the new Warren Center at 239 Main St.
