Hilcorp’s Carbon Limestone Wells Show Good Results
Wednesday, September 10, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Hilcorp Energy Co.'s Carbon Limestone Landfill wells in Poland Township are showing muscle after just 22 days of production, according to reports released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Four of the six horizontal wells now in production at the Poland site's CLL2 well pad each produced more than 100 million cubic feet of natural gas over 22 days from the Utica/Point Pleasant shale formations during the second quarter of 2014, ODNR reports.

Tuesday, September 09, 2014COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Horizontal wells in the Utica shale in the eastern part of the state produced more natural gas during the second quarter than all of the Ohio wells combined in 2012, reports the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The shale wells in the state produced 2,467,283 barrels of oil and 88.673 billion cubic feet of natural gas during the three months ended June 30, according to a summary report ODNR released Monday.

Ron Klingle, chairman of Avalon Holdings Corp., parent of American Water Management Services Inc., says that the technical staff of his company is in contact with ODNR officials, but would not elaborate on much else until more details become known.
