PsyCare Opens Office in Struthers
STRUTHERS, Ohio -- PsyCare, which offers mental health services in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, has opened a ninth office in a strip plaza at 520 Youngstown-Poland Road here.
The office has eight counselors, spokeswoman Debra Bogniard says, and is primarily running the I-FAST (Integrative Family and Systems Treatment) program designed to help children overcome mental health issues. “I-FAST is designed for complicated cases and difficult issues such as delinquency, school failure or refusal, anger management, self-injurious behavior, autism, serious emotional disturbances, mood disorders, acting out, oppositional behavior and attention deficit disorder,” Bogniard said in a prepared statement.
Struthers PsyCare offers its serves in a child’s home as well as in its office and “Counselors travel to [patients’] homes,” Bogniard says. “We treat the entire family, not just the child.”
Recognizing that traveling to its office can be an obstacle in delivering its services, PsyCare chose to open its office along a public bus route.
