ADL Cites Traficant in ‘Freedompalooza’ Alert
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Former U.S. Rep. James Traficant is one of the speakers scheduled to headline “Freedompalooza 2013,” a three day event that starts today outside Philadelphia. The event, is co-sponsored by American Free Press, a far-right news organization for which Traficant writes, and a musician, Paul Topete, whose band often appears at “patriotic gatherings,” writes Michael Collins Piper in American Free Press.
The Anti-Defamation League issued an alert July 2 describing the event a “gathering of white supremacists, anti-Semites, anti-government extremists and conspiracy theorists.”
Said the ADL in a media advisory (READ), “The list of invited speakers features several well-known supporters of anti-Semites and racists, including two former members of Congress: Cynthia Mckinney, who has a history of promoting anti-Israel rhetoric, including accusing the pro-Israel lobby of sabotaging her political career, and James Traficant, who since his release from prison on federal racketeering and bribery convictions has joined the American Free Press, where he has expressed his own anti-Semitic and anti-Israel views.”
In promoting "Freedompalooza," American Free Press describes Traficant as “the combative, articulate, no-holds-barred former congressman from Ohio who was part of AFP’s investigative team at the Bilderberg 2013 meeting in England.”
The so-called Bilderberg Group was secretly organized in 1954 as a Cold War alliance of powerful people from North America and Europe. The group meets annually, in secret, [attaining] legendary status in the eyes of anti-capitalist protesters and conspiracy theorists,” explains a report in the Huffington Post (READ).
Writing in American Free Press (READ), Traficant described the meeting as “a stealth international organization consisting of power brokers from most of the world, including Uncle Sam. … This year’s group, just like all others, consisted of royalty and politicians as well as educators and the group I refer to as the catalysts; the powerful international bankers.”
Traficant recorded a podcast reporting his Bilderberg findings (LISTEN).
“Freedompalooza” begins tonight in Kintnersville, Pa., just a few miles up from where Gen Washington crossed the Delaware River to route the Hessians, and change the whole direction of Americas Revolutionary War,” states a promotion for the event.
In addition to Traficant and McKinney, other speakers include Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, and Shawn House, the creator of hemp-seed pretzels and activist for the legalization of hemp production.
