Kent Trumbull Lands Spring Enrollment 'Three-peat'
WARREN, Ohio -- Enrollment for the spring semester at Kent State University Trumbull Campus, Champion Township, stands at 3,141 students, Dean Robert Sines anounced Tuesday.
This marks the third straight spring semester that enrollment surpassed 3,000.
The spring 2012 figure of 3,255 was Kent State Trumbull’s all-time enrollment high and the streak began with the spring 2011 figure of 3,046.
This spring’s figures are based on the official 15-day figures.
“With the improving job prospects we expected our enrollment to decrease slightly,” Sines said. “I believe more individuals are seeing the advantages to getting a university education. We certainly would like to see more residents getting a degree, but are still pleased to be providing our citizens with an opportunity to be better prepared for employment in the future.”
