Hospice of the Valley Opens Site at Villa Marie
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- Hospice of the Valley has expanded its service area to western Pennsylvania with the opening of its office here. The faith-based, nonprofit service is CMS/Medicare-approved and all staff members are licensed by the state of Pennsylvania.
The official opening is set for 1:30 p.m. next Monday.
There has long been a need to open an office in western Pennsylvania to serve its needs, says Terry Kilbury, executive director of Hospice. “It’s appropriate that our Pennsylvania office is located at the Villa,” he said in a statement, “which is where the Sisters of the Humility of Mary opened the first hospital in the Mahoning Valley.”
Gerianne Costantini is the clinical manager for the Pennsylvania office, which serves Mercer, Lawrence and Butler counties.
All services the hospice provides are available to qualified patients in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living centers and hospitals. Services encompass support for the patient and his family from staff trained in end-of-life care. On the staff are a medical director, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, hospice aides, social workers, a bereavement counselor and volunteers.
Hospice of the Valley serves patients in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio.
