HMHP Diversity Council to be Recognized
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Humility of Mary Health Partners’ Multicultural Competence and Inclusion Council is one of 25 groups that will be recognized in October by The Association of Diversity Councils.
Recipients of the Diversity Council Honors Award will be honored at a ceremony during the second annual Diversity Council Conference in Alexandria, Va.
“Winning this award brings our organization one step closer to accomplishing our goal of providing an environment of inclusion that engages every individual -- patient, family, significant other, staff, physician and volunteer -- involved in the process and delivery of equity care,” said Katrina Walker, HMHP director of multicultural competence and inclusion, said in a prepared statement.
Evaluations are based on contributions and achievements in four categories: Demonstrated council results, demonstrated management commitment, measurement and accountability and communication and education.
Humility of Mary Health Partners is an integrated health system in the Mahoning Valley. It is part of Catholic Health Partners in Cincinnati, the largest health system in Ohio and one of the largest Catholic health systems in the United States.
