Dunn Pledges Transparency, 'Work to Build Consensus'
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio –Randy J. Dunn, the new president of Youngstown State University, today begins what he calls “a great adventure” for the university, its students, faculty, alumni and donors.
In a video message posted Sunday at the YSU website, Dunn said, “As I came into Tod Hall today, and passed the portraits of the seven presidents who came before me, it was both humbling and energizing. They have left an extraordinary legacy for all of us to carry forward.”
Dunn pledged that his administration would be transparent and would “work to build consensus. And we will focus on Ensuring that YSU remain an exceptional place to learn, team, work and to pursue research and scholarly activities. CLICK HERE to watch Dunn's video message.
This afternoon Dunn is scheduled to meet with business and community leaders during a reception at the campus. He comes to YSU from Murray State University in Kentucky where he served as that school's president since 2006.
