Via680 Releases 3rd Version of Ving
EDITEDYOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Via680, a portfolio company of the Youngstown Business Incubator, has released its third version of Ving, an engagement tool that ensures important messages are understood and acted on, the company announced Wednesday.
Via680 is offering forever-free accounts in its quest to improve communication for businesses and schools, it said.
The latest version of Ving boasts an enhanced, intuitive interface that empowers people to create and receive dynamic multimedia messages. Ving messages can be shared through email, social media and websites. Recipient interaction can be tracked in real-time through an engagement dashboard.
"We see our customers as tremendous resources in our research and development efforts," said CEO Tony DeAscentis. "During June, we did a 10-day circuit where we conducted 1,400 ‘sneak peaks’ -- demonstrations of the new user interface. It’s clear that the focus groups and customers that led us to this new interface were spot on.”
Customers now can record audio and video directly into a Ving, which significantly simplifies the creation of Ving multimedia messages, DeAscentis said. Additional improvements include a more powerful Engagement Dashboard with the ability to cull more extensive data from messages, track recipient progress with message assets, and provide real-time, detailed feedback and completion statistics. This tracking feature eliminates any possibilities for misunderstandings, the CEO said.
Jessica Baker, administrative assistant at Trillium Creek and a Ving user, said Ving enhances communication and prevents misunderstandings. “Employees can refer to Ving anytime they want if they have questions, weren’t able to be at the meeting, or can’t remember what was said,” she said in a prepared statement. “This has cut down on miscommunication and ensures that everyone is up to date.”
Via680 also defines Ving as a tool that creates new opportunities for engagement with students and parents. “Ving eliminates miscommunication between students and parents about important projects and assignments,” said Jeff Hammond, a teacher at South Range Middle School, in a prepared statement.
Via680 offers a free Ving Lite account, according to Brad Gant, vice president of marketing and sales.
