Avalon Reports 2Q Net Income of $500,000
WARREN, Ohio -- Avalon Holdings Corp., Howland Township, reports net income of $500,000, or 12 cents per share, for the second quarter and first-half net income of $300,000, or 8 cents per share.
In comparison, second-quarter 2012 net income was $300,000, or 7 cents per share but a net loss of $100,000 or 3 cents a share for the first half of 2012.
Net operating revenues in the second quarter were $15.7 million compared with $12.6 million the same period a year ago. Net operating revenues increased to $30.4 million for the first half compared with $23.5 million the same period a year ago.
Avalon Holdings provides waste-management services to industrial, commercial, municipal and governmental customers in markets in the Northest and Midwest and owns the Avalon Golf and Country Club, which operates golf courses and related businesses.
