Avalon Holdings Reports 2012 Net Loss of $300,000
WARREN, Ohio -- Avalon Holdings Corp. reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $300,000, or eight cents per share. The company's net loss for the full year 2012 was $300,000, or nine cents per share.
In comparison, Avalon reported net income of $700,000, or 19 cents per share, for the fourth quarter of 2011 and net income of $800,000, or 20 cents per share, for the full year.
Fourth-quarter net operating revenues were $12.1 million compared with $16.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. For full year of 2012, net operating revenues fell to $48.9 million compared with $54 million for 2011.
Avalon Holdings Corp. provides waste management services to industrial, commercial, municipal and governmental customers in selected northeastern and midwestern U.S. markets and owns the Avalon Golf and Country Club, which operates golf courses and related amenities.
