"Working with data provider OnBoard of Brooklyn, N.Y., we screened over 1,300 towns and surrounding areas with a population of at least 14,000. We wanted to identify places where you would want to raise your family and build your career -- places with good schools, safe streets, economic opportunity and plenty of arts and leisure activities. America's 100 Best Places to Live all offer those things. "As we winnowed the list further," Schurenberg continued, "we dug deeper into the data, but we also began to look beyond the numbers, interviewing residents and community leaders and visiting top-ranking towns. No database, after all, can tell you where you'll find the most vibrant downtown and the prettiest streets, nor can it reveal the strength of the attachment people have to their community."Moorestown, he added, is "more than a place of high income growth and high test scores. It's an all-American town, a true community offering a rich life that draws people who grew up there back home to raise their own families."
