Home Savings Fills Parking Meters this Week at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Home Savings & Loan Co. this week is inviting students and faculty of Youngstown State University to park for free at all of the parking meters that surround the campus. The free parking program was undertaken by Home Savings to commemorate the first week of classes.
This is the second year in a row Home Savings has paid for parking meters "to welcome YSU students back to school and to save them time in the first week when life may seem a bit more chaotic than usual," said Colleen Scott, the company's vice president of marketing.
“As a local bank, we are always looking for ways to give back in the communities that we serve. We wanted to do something for YSU to show them how important they are to us," she explained. "We had such a great response from the university and the community when we did this last year, we wanted to do it again."
Home Savings operates a full-service branch inside YSU's Kilcawley Center, as well as five ATMs throughout the campus.
With current assets of $1.8 billion, Home Savings operates 33 banking offices and nine loan production offices throughout Ohio and western Pennsylvania, employing approximately 500 people.
