First Place Bank Taps Lynch as Corporate Veep
WARREN, Ohio -- Jamie Lynch, a 22-year financial services veteran, has joined First Place Bank as its corporate vice president for commercial banking, Thomas C. Shafer, president and CEO announced Monday.
In addition, Lynch will serve as executive managing director and regional president-Ohio for Talmer Bancorp Inc., holding company of First Place Bank. And pending regulatory approval of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Lynch will eventually serve as Ohio region president of First Place Bank, Talmer said. The OCC is the primarily regulator of First Place Bank.
“One of Jamie’s main priorities will be growing the bank’s commercial loan portfolio by identifying and creating lending solutions for local businesses throughout northeastern Ohio,” Shafer said in a prepared statement.
Before joining First Place, Lynch was president of commercial banking for the Ohio region of Citizens Republic Bancorp. Before that he was a commercial lender at the former Sky Bank, Fifth Third Bank and KeyBank. His experience includes time as an investment banker at McDonald & Co. and a consultant with Ernst & Young.
