Cleveland/Akron/Canton CFOs Not Ready to Hire
CLEVELAND -- Just 10% of chief financial officers in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area expect to add new professional-level positions in the second quarter. Another 71% said they will not be adding new positions but will fill roles that open in the next 2½ months.
In addition, 15% of respondents will not hire, even to fill an open position, and 3% plan to reduce staff levels, according to the Professional Employment Forecast from Robert Half.
CFOs were asked, "What are your company's hiring plans for full-time professional-level employees in the second quarter?"
"We have seen a significant increase in the hiring of human resources professionals, which suggests companies are ramping up to add staff," said Chuck Cave, senior regional vice president for Robert Half in Cleveland. "In particular, there is notable demand within the manufacturing and healthcare industries and for accounts payable and accounts receivable professionals as well as staff accountants with strong general ledger and Excel skills."
Robert Half International, founded in 1948, is the world's largest specialized staffing firm.
