Chamber Schedules Annual Meeting, Ohio EPA Event
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will hold its annual meeting March 21 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman.
Among those scheduled to be recognized during the luncheon program will be Sam Covelli, owner/operator of Covelli Enterprises, this year’s recipient of the William G. Lyden, Jr. Spirit Of The Valley Award; David N. Hughes, owner of Specialty Fab Inc., North Lima, who will receive the Donald Cagigas Spirit Of The Chamber Award; and Youngstown Mayor Charles Sammarone, winner of the Chairman’s Political Achievement Award. Cynthia Anderson, who is stepping down as president of Youngstown State University, will also be honored for her work.
During the program, the chamber will look back at the successes of 2012 and ahead to the possibilities of 2013.The event sponsor is Farmers National Bank, Canfield, and the award sponsor is Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
Registration and lunch begin at 11:15 a.m. followed by the program.
A few days later, on March 25, the chamber’s Government Affairs Council will host Scott Nally, director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, at a breakfast event at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. A panel of local business people will discuss EPA issues with Nally at the event, which runs 7:30-9 a.m.
The cost to attend the annual meeting is $30 for chamber members and $40 for nonmembers; advance reservations are required by March 14. The cost for the Government Affairs Council breakfast is $20 for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers; advance reservations are required by March 19.
