Building Trades Team Up with United Way for Bike Run
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Western Reserve Building and Construction Trades will hold its third annual Motorcycle Bike Run Aug. 4 to benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Local 66 of Operating Engineers Union, 291 McClurg Road in Boardman. Breakfast will be provided by Panera Bread. The first bike out will be at 11 a.m.
The Poker Run, about 80 miles, will start and finish at union hall with stops at The Old Stage Coach Inn in North Georgetown, Marks Landing at Guilford Lake, Shale Tavern and Grille in Lisbon and Backyard Bar & Grill in Poland Township.
The last bike in will be at 4 p.m., followed by a presentation of prizes and dinner sponsored by Gia’s Pizzeria.There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Cost is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. The first 100 participants to register will receive a T-shirt donated by Gem-Young Insurance & Financial Services Inc. All proceeds benefit United Way and the AFL-CIO Community Services.
