Athena Meet-and-Mentor Luncheon Set for Sept. 18
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- An Athena Meet-and-Mentor Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 18 will be hosted by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, the chamber announces.
The luncheon will be held in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park, with the program from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Its premise is that established leaders invite emerging leaders as their guests to dine, meet other female leaders and explore perspectives on leadership.
The luncheon also provides an opportunity for established female leaders to give back to the larger community of young women. Proceeds will benefit the chamber's Athena scholarship, awarded annually to a local female high school senior or college student.
The luncheon will consist of networking, lunch table discussions on aspects of leadership and sharing of insights, views and advice on successful leadership development. At the end of the program, participants will have an opportunity to share the highlights of their conversations and help identify steps participants could take to strengthen their leadership skills and enhance their professional networks.
Mentors pay $45 per mentor-emerging leader pair and $25 for each additional ticket if a mentor opts to bring additional guests. For single mentors with no guest, the price is $25. Advance reservations requested by Thursday by calling Jennifer Mascardine at 330 744 2131, ext. 12. Cancellations received thereafter will be billed.
