YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Richard Pirko was eight years old when he joined the local pack of the Cub Scouts in Niles. "Everything about it was of interest to me," says Pirko, a technician in the Ward Beecher Planetarium at Youngstown State University. "They were doing all of the things I liked camping, travel, boating. I loved it."And he still does.This spring, Pirko will share his love of scouting with other youths in a first-ever program at the YSU planetarium.

While a portion of this group has been shown to include many who opt against coverage despite having the means to acquire it, there nonetheless remain those who simply have been priced out of the market. HOWLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Avalon Inn & Resort has completed a five-week restoration of its Junior Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, reports Andrea Hathhorn, pool manager. This restoration is the latest in the total renovation process for the resort. Already included in this progression are the addition of the grand front entrance, the opening of a new restaurant -- Ristorante Allora -- and the initial phases of room renovations.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- CVS Corp. has entered into a definitive agreement under which it will acquire from J.C. Penney Co. Inc., approximately 1,260 Eckerd drug stores, located mainly in the southern United States, as well as Eckerd Health Services, which includes Eckerd's $1 billion mail order and pharmacy benefits management businesses, and three Eckerd distribution centers.Following completion of the transaction, CVS will operate more than 5,000 locations in 36 states and the District of Columbia.
